Building Inspection Division
The Building Inspection Division is responsible for enforcement of the State of Michigan Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing codes for new construction and building renovations. Staff are also involved with the testing and licensing of electrical contractors and boiler operators/engineers, along with the license registration of state contractors doing work within the City of Grand Rapids.
